Akira Kurosawa Film: Kagemusha

In a battle against the clan of enemy, Takeda Singen hit by a gunshot. Singen who was the ruler of the Kai Province had carried out from the battlefield. Before died -- the former candidate for the shogun who will controlled the whole country --ordering his men to kept secret of his death in order to avoid Kai Province being a target of enemies attack.

After the death of Singen, The Council of Kai Province secretly pick up a thief who his face similar to Singen as a fake Singen. The death of Singen will be concealed for 3 years, with the help of the duplicate who would pretend as a respected ruler of Kai Province.

The story have in the film titled Kagemusha which directed by Akira Kurosawa. Kagemusha take the story of the fate of Kai Province after the death of Takeda Singen as a background story.

Hattori smiling bitterly after hear the story about Kagemusha from his friend. The story was so similar to his life experience. The department which under his responsibility is highly rely on Hattori presence all the time. Without him many tasks in the department will be stalled. It is a result of Hattori habits.

Many tasks are done in person by Hattori without involvement of his assistant. He worried to delegating important tasks to the assistans since he was not willing to see the quality of works decreased.

If he let in the assistants to do the important tasks then the completion of the tasks become slower. It's because Hattori must often halt the work to train his assistants. Plus there are need more additional time for discuss with them since his assistants is not the kind of workers who could be dictated without clear explanation.

Five hundred years after the death of Singen the world has changed. A province or a company no longer rely on one person. In an egalitarian modern enterprises, the fate of the company is determined by the success of the system. The change of manager is not much interfere with the performance of the company. There are properly standard operating procedures, training programs, supervision programs and evaluation programs to ensures all the works are carried out systematic and measurable, so will be easy to repeated by others.

Suddenly Hattori feel that he is fit enough to be a manager at a company which operated 500 years ago (undil 2011).
